Facilitating Conversations For Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
In this 2-day programme, learn to facilitate more awareness, acceptance and appreciation of people’s differences so that you can accomplish your strategic goals that depend on their experience of inclusion, equity and belonging.
Description
PROBLEM - Organisations need to work with increasingly diverse employees, diverse staff and diverse stakeholders. Key organisational decisions made around talent development, business negotiations, workplace safety, customer experience etc. are influenced by our unspoken views about each other’s age, education, race, religion, marital status, gender, sexual orientation and more.
When organisational leaders or managers behave in ways that show they are unaware, unaccepting or unappreciative of such diversity, the consequences can be costly. Underserved customers may gravitate to attentive competitors who are more aware of their unseen needs. Untapped employees may leave for more affirming workplaces who accept their perspectives, talents and ideas. Undermined key stakeholders may put up resistance in the problem-solving process when they feel their concerns are not appreciated.
SOLUTION - In this 2-day workshop, you’ll develop basic skills of diversity management that will help you facilitate more effective and productive ways of working with similarities and differences between people.
You will learn how awareness (and unawareness) of diversity affects your key stakeholders and thus how it links to your organisation’s strategic goals. You’ll learn to facilitate more inclusive and equitable conversations that support more informed and empathetic decision-making.
