“When Work Conversations Don’t Work” Facilitating Effective Meetings

Learn to diagnose, design and facilitate meetings effectively so that you can get results without sacrificing relationships.

Description

PROBLEM Holding an effective team meeting can be challenging. Not every person is easy to talk to. Not every issue is easy to talk about. But work conversations that go nowhere are a terrible waste of your time and resources. They also compromise your good work and frustrate your work relationships.

SOLUTION In this workshop, you’ll explore the frameworks and practice the processes you need to design and facilitate a more effective flow of conversation that will help you get the results - and relationships - that you want.

The processes and frameworks you’ll be learning are based on ground research from interviews done in 2021 with professional facilitators sharing from 240 years of combined experience supporting workplace conversations in large and small organisations.

What will I learn?

  • Identify the most reported factors that make meetings ineffective and problematic.

  • Learn principles and frameworks to help you structure effective work meetings that care for results & relationships

  • Discern when external facilitation support is optional, advisable or crucial

  • Practice interventions that clarify and coordinate a more effective flow of conversation

  • Leave with a field-guide “When Work Meetings Don’t Work: How Do I Facilitate Effective Meetings?” to help you remember what you learnt in this programme. The field-guide is based on research insights from interviews with professional facilitators with more than 240 years of combined experience supporting workplace conversations in large and small organisations.
