Leading Effectively As Middle Managers
Learn to recognise and manage power dynamics so that you can lead your leaders at the top, peers in the middle and teams on the ground more effectively.
Description
PROBLEM Many of us who work at the Middle level of a team or an organisation can feel torn between the needs of the Top level and the Ground level. As the Top and Ground grow more apart from each other, we can feel disempowered and hapless to lead either the Top or the Ground towards the work goals everybody originally hoped to accomplish.
SOLUTION In this workshop, you’ll learn a foundational model that will help you understand how Top, Middle and Ground power dynamics work and how to use it to engage your Top and Ground more strategically. You’ll also learn a basic self-empowerment technique, coaching technique and facilitation technique that will help you kickstart a more effective way for you to lead from the Middle.
